I’m MJ Charles, The Last Wish Facilitator. I am the author of the award-winning book “Surviving the Business of Dying, Why Final Papers Matter” and its accompanying “The Companion Workbook”. My efforts reflect my sole purpose of giving visibility to the still mumbled topic of “final papers”. I know the black hole of trying to figure it out on behalf of someone who is gone. I also know that I do not want you have this particular life experience, if you can avoid it. Guess what? You can avoid it!
I provide a user-friendly process with a single tool, so that all your details can be noted in one place. This tool is my workbook. Once you complete it, it becomes your workbook. It can be used in the will planning process, but more importantly, it can become a “first source” reference, once you are gone. (“First source” is a term that means there is no doubt you wrote it.)
My mission is one of knowing what I don’t want anyone else to experience. My style is gentle – I believe – with a dash of humor (an Irish technique) and a sense of straight-up New York “Just write it down and keep going! My tagline says it all: “Last wishes: Make sure they come true.”
